Hello! I’m Danielle Lawry, a designer based in Madison, Wisconsin. I currently work as a senior designer in University Marketing at the University of Wisconsin–Madison. I serve as the art director for On Wisconsin magazine — one of the largest circulation alumni magazines in the nation. I oversee the design and layout for this award-winning publication and am fortunate to work with a talented team of writers, designers, and photographers that help tell the stories of our incredible alumni.
I help update and maintain the University’s visual brand and create various design projects for campus clients including campaign work, the Student Planner, alumni newsletters, and graphics for social media.
I am a graduate of Illinois State University where I received my Bachelor of Science in Visual Communication. During my time at Illinois State, I was involved in various activities to gain leadership and professional experience out of the classroom. I worked as a graphic designer for several departments on campus, served as the president of C.O.M.M. Club, was inducted as a member of Lambda Pi Eta the National Communication Association’s official honor society, and was a teaching assistant for Magazine Production and Design.
When I’m not designing, I enjoy cooking, DIY, traveling, and reading. I have a passion for interior design, gardening, and technology. I also enjoy being active outdoors, which is easy to do in this beautiful state.
